Women’s Day Spl: Women singers ruling our playlist in 2017
Women’s Day is being celebrated and what’s the best way in honoring women? The answer is simple. A good music is a Woman’s best companion.
WoodsDeck picked some of the female singers in Indian cinema who are ruling our playlist this year. With no preference or order, the list as follow:
Shashaa Tirupati:
Who’s been humming ‘Vaan’ song from ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ since the day it was released? It is composed by Isaipuyal A R Rahman. ‘Maimurappa’ in ‘Cheliya’ has the same magic in the Telugu version. Almost everyone loves the song; her voice makes us to hear the song in a loop :)
Luksimi Sivaneswaralingam:
Another song with a different voice that became an instant hit would be ‘Senthoora’ from ‘Bogan’ in Imman musical. She made her debut and each time you hear the music anywhere, you never try to change the channel or shift to another song right?
Vaikom Vijayalakshmi:
Her unique voice can change the sober mood into a jolly mood in an instant. We are not able to choose a song because she strikes the chord with each and every song. We love to keep a separate playlist of your songs Vijayalakshmi :)
A R Raihanah & Nikitha Gandhi:
Wondering why 2 singers together in this choice. Well… then you wouldn’t have heard ‘Saarattu Vandiyila’ and ‘Morethukochindhi’ from ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ and ‘Cheliya’. A R Raihanah voice is always a treat to our ears. Isn’t it? These groovy songs have made everyone dance and it’s indeed a special wedding song in A R Rahman’s composition.
Neha Kakkar:
Remember ‘Kala Chashma’ from ‘Baar Baar Dekho’? This song was a viral hit and it still goes on in our minds when we talk about Kala Chashma!! Neha Kakkar has given several hit songs till now.
Jonita Gandhi:
Remember ‘Mental Manadhil’ from ‘Ok Kanmani’? Jonita Gandhi’s ‘the Breakup song’ in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ by Pritam has been our favorite song in Bollywood. Again as always she rocked in this song too.
Nooran Sisters:
‘Sisters who stay together, sing together’ Whenever we listen to ‘Idiot Banna’ from Dangal by Pritam, Zaira Wasim’s dance steps from the film comes in front of our eyes. Nooran Sisters rock as always :)
Sangeetha Sreekanth:
Her song ‘Paarparakko Kili’ from ‘Aby’ is one of the best songs you should listen. If you haven’t heard it yet, Listen to it and get fanatical :)
Merin Gregory:
‘Nokki Nokki’ from ‘Jomonte Suviseshangal’ is another song which should not be missed. This song still remains at the top of our playlist!!
Have we missed anything? Share with us your thoughts. Women should be celebrated every day rather than one special day. ‘Happy Women’s Day’ wishes from our WoodsDeck team.
